Mondays are MARVELOUS again! So much gratitude to Katie for hosting this event.
It’s a new week and this city is buzzing with tourists…It is Spring Break for many universities in Canada and it appears that many of those vacationers have decided to descend upon this great city. For me, this weekend has been loaded with errands, apartment viewings, visiting friends and fabulous fitness. This weekend I also achieved a goal by running 8 miles in the park with my running group! Here’s a visual guide to my wonderful weekend:

After my run I had to stay in my sweaty ninja running gear and go view an apartment in the FiDi (Financial District). The apartment was ridiculously fancy (full concierge, Starbucks in the building, lounge and a rooftop with bouncers)…sounds great but it lacked so much personality. I missed my East Village apartment and wished I could continue living here but nonetheless I’m going to keep looking!

A shot from the walk back to the subway, after the viewing. In the middle of the photo you can see the Trade Centre memorial site.

After the stressful FiDi visit, it was back to my ‘hood and on my walk home I stumbled upon the GEM of a flea market, that was held in a church gym. I picked up TWO designer pieces for $15! I could afford it since I had been to so many events last week that gave me dinner:)

After the quick shopping stop, it was time for business! I had a mammoth amount of laundry to be done…not fun, but necessary.

After folding up my clothes and hanging them off every surface in my room, I headed to a much-needed hair appointment.

During the 3.5 HOUR appointment my hair was BEAUTIFULLY highlighted and styled by the talented and charming, Jasmine at Novella Salon. Love her! If you’re in the city, I would highly recommend her.

Sunday morning I went to my SECOND Brooklyn Bodyburn class and ooh did my body BURN….but man, it hurt so good. I am OBSESSED. Love, love LOVE. I’m returning Tuesday morning:)

Here’s the owner Tracy. It was so rad to spend time at the studio with her…also she has killer guns that totally motivated me during the workout.

After Bodyburn, it was coffee time and Williamsburg wanderings with an old friend and a new friend. It was sunny but FREEZING outside.

Dinner with friends! It was great to see not only ONE friend but THREE old friends from Canada in ONE DAY! I’m the luckiest. Also, we had great food:)
How MARVELOUS is your Monday? What did you get up to this weekend? Was it filled with errands? Food? Friends? All of the above?
Now, I’m off to the park to sketch with a friend’s daughter who thinks it’s neat that I’m an artist (Isn’t that sweet? I’m very excited!).
The CC

Happy Monday love!
