Hello and Happy Monday!

Mondays are MARVELOUS again! So much gratitude to Katie for hosting this event.
This weekend has been fantastic, snowy and filled with friends. Instead of just telling you about it, let me share some shots of my past 48 hours in the city:

Saturday, after my quick post, my friend and I ventured out into the snow, took some photos and headed to Brooklyn to my studio for coffee and school work. Doesn’t snow make everything beautiful?

I received my first Bulu Box this weekend! I will be reviewing its contents this week…get excited!

Saturday night, I attended a party with my fellow artists-in-residence ….it was very stereotypical of an art party: lots of red wine, vegetarian food and heavy, thoughtful philosophical thought. It was hilarious.

Sunday morning, I ran another 5 miles, but this time in a new direction! Yesterday, I headed to the Flatiron District and Chelsea. It was a sunny and relaxed run…lovely.

After the run, I hung out with my roommates and the lovely Ghostie for a bit, then headed to Chinatown for a New Year’s celebration and feasted on fresh dumplings, iced grapefruit-green tea and a honey bun…all for $5!

After Chinatown, I wandered uptown and ended up attending a free cooking class at Williams Sonoma and tried grits for the first time!

After the cooking class, I headed to 3rd Ave and 63rd Street to find a new pair of running shoes. I had the most lovely time with the salesperson, Jeff, who helped me assess my gait, find a new pair of shoes (I haven’t bought a pair yet, but I know which ones I will be buying) AND recommended a new yoga class for me to try. Marvelous, indeed.

After shoe shopping, I went to my first SOUL CYCLE class but I’m saving those photos for tomorrow! After class, I went to Brooklyn for dinner with friends at a beautiful neighbourhood restaurant and had a kale salad as a starter and was reminded of why I am obsessed with this filling and nutrient-dense food.

After an iincredible dinner with a lovely wine pairing, I finally got home at 11PM and Skyped with my family! Here are two of my sisters and my mom:)
That’s what’s Marvelous in MY Monday, how’s yours? What have you been up to in the past 48-hours? Did it snow in your city this weekend? Did you have any delicious dinners? Have you tried a Bulu Box? Did you celebrate Chinese New Year?
LOTS and LOTS of Monday love,
the cc
