February Goals

Hello and Happy Groundhog Day!

Rumour has it that Spring will come early this year and I am absolutely crossing my fingers that it is true because it is freezing here in NYC. Yesterday, after I successfully gave my artist presentation in the AM, I headed to TriBeCa to attend a friend’s Tiny Dancers Ballet and Tap Dance class…it was so cute to see them in their tutus. After the dance performance I headed to check out a few galleries, followed by dinner in Chinatown. After dinner I was planning on heading to a book launch, but somehow got the address wrong and ended up in The Projects in Brooklyn. Yikes. When I seriously felt unsafe and my ‘spidey sense‘ was going off, I decided to find the closest subway and go home.

This morning I have a 5 mile run in Central Park, followed by a trip to The Guggenheim, then a visit to The Met. I just got home at 3:30 and am famished and EXHAUSTED. Tomorrow, I may have a run in the morning (It’s a Superbowl Themed race in Central Park) then I am attending a Vision Board and Superbowl Party with Jen! I am very excited.

Anyway, I am now going grocery shopping and try to get out of my zombie-like state. BUT, before I go, I wanted to share with you my February goals:

February Goals

Run 8 miles. This used to be a lot less intimidating but I have significantly changed my fitness regime in the past year and a half and have cut back on a lot of my long runs. Due to this, I’m getting slightly intimidated before my Saturday long runs! For this half-marathon, my goal is completion, not a time.

Create a routine. I love stability but am constantly changing and uprooting myself. This month I am working to creating a routine for myself to develop more clarity and peace on a daily basis.

Daily yoga. 10 minutes of yoga everyday to breath, stretch and relax. My favorite routines are Tara Stiles.

No dairy. The only time that I have dairy is when I cave and have frozen yogurt… However, I always feel the difference in my body and skin after eating dairy and have decided to really cut it out cold turkey.

What are your goals this month? Did you have goals from January that you achieved?

February love,
