Another reason yesterday was fabulous? I bought these shoes for $5!

Hello, hello! HAPPY FEBRUARY! It is slightly overcast but with pockets of sun this morning in New York but I am feeling 100% ‘sunny’. I had such a rad day yesterday and met so many powerful and inspiring women. Firstly, I finally was able to schedule a time to meet up with Jen Morris, of Urban Detox Club fame. We met close to Union Square, at Argo Tea, and quickly became fast friends and realized that we had so much in common. She is so cool. Seriously, after meeting with her yesterday, we scheduled several more meetings and I am so excited to learn from her.

Okay, now if that wasn’t cool enough, I ended up meeting a whole house full of kind, smart and powerful women last night when I went to a Carrie Hammer dress party. I was lucky enough to meet Carrie at a cocktail party she hosted a few weeks ago and she invited me to help with last nights event. This dress party is the modern-day Tupperware party; these New York powerful women fill the house, try on dresses, get fitted, drink champagne, share stories and generally just have a really fun time…huge improvement on the Tupperware party! The party was a total blast and yet again, I was able to meet the women ruling this powerful city that I am in.

Now, after a late night, I’m off to do an artist presentation in Brooklyn…oh vey!
