Today is my older sister’s birthday. I sent her a quick email at midnight to wish her a happy birthday…but she deserves way more than that. Obviously, I wish I could afford to fly her to NYC to celebrate in style but since that isn’t possible here are 24 reasons why I love my sister.

- She looks the same as she did as a toddler when she wakes up.

- She has hair like a mermaid.

- She went to prom with my brother’s boss.

- HUGE blue eyes.

- She’s super feminine and so I go to her with womanly issues.

- Wherever she is, the fun follows.

- She is hilarious.

- She’s my polar opposite.

- …but I love her because she’s the yin to my yang.

- She gets along with all of us:)

- She’s a genius, and is ace with helping write papers.

- She lived in South Korea the same time I did.

- While living in Korea she visited me in Seoul many times and was so generous and a much needed dose of home.

- She loves baked goods as much as me.

- She traveled to Jeju Island with me for my birthday.

- She cried daily during my brother’s wedding week…she was the token ‘emotional sibling’

- She has a lovely singing voice.

- She used to be ‘too cool for school’ but has completely grown out of that and is the most down to earth, unpretentious person around.

- She’s supportive of my fitness obsession:)

- She loves family a lot.

- We share friends.

- She was the ‘athletic one’ growing up, but never made me feel bad about being so clumsy.

- She loves being taken care of and lets me cook for her!
