What I Ate Wednesday: Avocado Obsession Edition

I hope you can appreciate avocados as much as I do.

Hello beauties! For this Wednesday, I wanted to share with you one of my favourite food obsessions: AVOCADOS. I am embarrassed to admit that I used to avoid avocados at all costs due to their higher calorie/fat amount…silly me didn’t realize what this superfood would do for my skin, nails and hair. Also, their loaded with fibre and potassium.

Many thanks to Jenn for creating this event!

Here are some of my favourite ways to enjoy this delectable fruit (yes, strange but true, they’re a fruit).

Start your day off right with a superfood smoothie with matcha powder, Granny Smith apples, kale and avocado. YUM.

Avocado wraps! I love adding avocados to my nori and collard greens wraps.

Silky salads: here are some shots of my radish and jicama salad, my tofu pomegranate salad and my blueberry and olive salad...all with avocado, of course!

  1. My current food obsessions are spaghetti squash and sunflower seed butter! I can’t get enough! No matter how many times I try them, I don’t really like avocado – at least not on it’s own. I like it in guacamole, though!

  2. I am currently going through a raw broccoli obsession!

Your post gave me some great new ideas! Nori & collard greens wraps and matcha powder are things I have not used in my usual food-making-process! I am excited to try :)
