Highlights of yesterday:
Food carts, knock-off fashions and fast-walking fashionistas were out in plenty last night.
>Before my first day at my volunteer position, I went for a run on the Williamsburg Bridge, from Brooklyn to Manhattan…it was such a spooky but beautiful run in the fog on the pedestrian overpass with subway trains noisily passing beneath you.
>Spending my day in Soho. LOVE it. What a fantastic neighbourhood.
>Walking twenty blocks after work and just taking in the bustling streets.
What were the highlights of your day yesterday? What are your plans for today?
My budget? Under $7!
I’m off to find the cheapest lunch deal in my neighbourhood!

the best way of learning about a new city is walking. i did that when I first moved to dc this summer and thank goodness I did. I feel so much more connected and aware
